Enter our chief protagonist. Lee is a horrible excuse for a man, who constantly tries to drown out the worst anniversary of his life with an endless stream of booze, drugs and exotic dancers.
When the drugs don’t work, he’s not scared to use his fists. He can’t handle emotions. He cynically fakes empathy only when he needs to manipulate and betray women.
POETS Day focuses on an intense set of relationships, stirred up by Lee’s on-going battle with his own conscience. If his character had any redeeming features, he might stand a chance.
For now, Lee is a lost boy in a man’s body.
